Full-Time · Salaried · $46,000–$54,000 Based on Experience
We're looking for a hospitality-driven leader to anchor The Mountain Top Lodge Wednesday through Sunday — someone who can hold the standard on shift, lead the team in front of them, and make every guest feel personally cared for from check-in to farewell.
About the Role
This is a salaried, full-time leadership role covering our busiest stretch — Wednesday through Sunday, including evening and weekend shifts.
You'll be the senior leader on shift: setting the tone for the team, owning the guest experience on the floor, and stepping in wherever needed. You'll work closely with our General Manager and Assistant Manager, who set the broader operational direction — your job is to make every shift run beautifully when they're off site.
That means leading from the front desk, running point at Wit & Wisdom dinner service, working alongside the team at The Welcome Bar, and supporting housekeeping operations when the moment calls for it.
What You'll Own
Leadership on Shift
Lead and direct the on-property team — service, front desk, and housekeeping support — during your scheduled shifts
Set the tone for excellence from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave
Coach in the moment — catching opportunities to develop the team without slowing service
Handle guest issues with calm, judgment, and grace; recover service moments before they become memories
Communicate clearly with the GM and Heather on what's working, what's not, and what needs attention
Guest Experience Operations
Own front desk operations during your shifts — check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and the warm first impression that sets the tone for every stay
Run point at Wit & Wisdom — our 20-seat communal prix-fixe supper club — managing flow, narrating the experience, and protecting the room's energy
Support The Welcome Bar — coffee, cocktails, wine, and conversation
Handle phone inquiries, reservations, and on-property guest communication
Property Standards
Walk the property each shift — common areas, guest rooms, restrooms — and address anything below standard
Support housekeeping when needed; jump in to ensure rooms and spaces reflect MTL's boutique presentation
Flag operational gaps to the GM with proposed solutions
Team Support
Be the steady hand the team can count on during evenings and weekends
Step in wherever needed with a whatever it takes mindset
Who You Are
Hospitality leadership or supervisory experience — boutique hotel, fine dining, or upscale restaurant background welcome
A genuine player-coach — comfortable leading from the floor, not from an office
Calm and clear-headed under pressure — service recovery is a craft, not a panic
Detail-oriented — you notice what others miss
Warm, present, and guest-focused — hospitality is your craft, not your job
Comfortable working evenings and full weekends as your regular schedule
Physically able to move quickly across the property, lift up to 50 lbs, and stay active throughout long shifts
This Role Is For You If
You believe leadership happens on the floor, not behind a desk
You take pride in being the steady, calm presence when service gets intense
You'd rather anchor a 16-room boutique property where every guest feels known
You're drawn to hospitality as a craft — service, beverage, food, and rooms all as one woven experience
You're ready to invest in a property and a team for the long haul
This Role Is Not For You If
You want a Monday-through-Friday, 9-to-5 schedule
You're looking for a pure leadership role with no hands-on work
You prefer larger, more hierarchical organizations
You're looking for a stepping stone rather than a craft to invest in
Our Core Principles
At The Mountain Top Lodge, we live by these guiding values:
Addicted to Excellence — Excellence is the baseline.
Enthusiastic Hospitality — We turn ordinary moments into memorable ones.
Whatever It Takes Attitude — We step in for each other, for our guests, for the property.
Extreme Ownership — We own outcomes. No excuses.
Celebrate Our Experience — We find joy in the craft of hospitality.
Protect the Fort — We're loyal to our team and our standards.
If these resonate, you'll feel right at home here.

How to Apply
The application below is part of how we get to know you. It takes a little time — and that's intentional. We're looking for the kind of leader who'll invest in our team and our guests, and the application is the first step in that conversation.
Every application is read personally. If we'd like to move forward, we'll be in touch within 7–10 days.
"We've built a strong leadership team here — a General Manager and Assistant Manager who set the direction and standard. What we need is the right person to anchor weekends and evenings: someone who cares about the guest experience the way we do, and who'll lead the team beautifully when the rest of us are off site. If you've ever wanted to lead at a property small enough that every guest feels personal, this might be it."

Part-Time · Friday & Saturday Evenings · $40/hour
We're looking for a polished, wine-knowledgeable hospitality professional to be the face of The Mountain Top Lodge on Friday and Saturday evenings — leading our Wit & Wisdom tasting menu dinners and serving as evening concierge on non-dinner nights.
About the Role
This is a specialized part-time hospitality position — Friday and Saturday evenings only, 5:30 PM to close (typically around 10:30 PM). You'll be the face of MTL after dark.
On Wit & Wisdom dinner nights, you'll lead the entire experience. Our 20-seat communal prix-fixe supper club is the heart of weekend evenings at the Lodge — and the maître d' is the architect of that experience. You'll welcome guests at the Welcome Bar at 6:30, confirm preferences and allergies, upsell wine pairings, lead the 7:00 PM announcement in the lobby, walk guests into the dining room, narrate the five-course menu, and guide wine pairings throughout the night.
On non-dinner nights, you'll serve as Evening Concierge — checking in late arrivals, hosting at The Welcome Bar, and being the polished presence guests can count on across the property.
Our General Manager is Le Cordon Bleu trained. The standards across the property come from people who care deeply about the craft, and we're looking for the right person to anchor weekend evenings with that same care.
What You'll Own
On Wit & Wisdom Dinner Nights
Lead the entire guest experience from arrival to farewell
Welcome guests at The Welcome Bar starting at 6:30 PM — warm check-in, allergy confirmation, drink preferences captured
Upsell wine pairings and recommend cocktails with genuine wine knowledge and warmth
Update our CRM with guest notes, preferences, and details that make the next visit even better
Lead the 7:00 PM announcement in the lobby and walk guests into the dining room
Narrate the five-course tasting menu, course by course
Guide wine pairings throughout the evening — pour notes, region, why it works with the dish
Lead the service team on the floor; coordinate timing with the kitchen
Close out the experience with grace
On Non-Dinner Nights (Evening Concierge)
Check in late arrivals and handle any evening guest needs
Host at The Welcome Bar — coffee, wine, cocktails, conversation
Walk the property and address anything below standard
Handle phone inquiries, guest requests, and reservation questions
Be the polished evening presence guests can count on
Pre-Service Prep (5:30–6:30 PM)
Confirm menus are printed and beautifully presented
Set the seating chart based on the night's reservations
Prepare check-in sheets with allergy and preference notes from the CRM
Brief the team on guest notes (return guests, celebrations, dietary needs)
Ensure The Welcome Bar is ready for arrivals
Who You Are
Real wine knowledge — you can speak with specificity about regions, producers, styles, and pairings (formal training a plus, but not required)
Comfortable holding a room — the 7:00 PM announcement and procession requires genuine presence
Polished hospitality background — fine dining, boutique hotel, private club, or similar
Warm, present, and genuinely interested in people
Detail-oriented — you notice the menu corner that's bent, the half-empty water glass, the guest who needs another moment before being seated
Calm under pressure — service recovery is a craft, not a panic
Available for both Friday and Saturday evenings, every weekend
This Role Is For You If
Hosting elevated dinners genuinely lights you up
You have a day job, a primary role, or a season of life that makes weekend evenings the perfect rhythm for you
You love wine and want to share what you know with guests
You're drawn to small, intimate, intentional hospitality — not high-volume rooms
You take pride in being the person who makes a guest's evening unforgettable
This Role Is Not For You If
You're looking for full-time work or a primary income
You're uncomfortable speaking in front of a small group
Wine is a casual interest rather than something you've genuinely studied
Weekend evenings don't work for your life
Our Core Principles
At The Mountain Top Lodge, we live by these guiding values:
Addicted to Excellence — Excellence is the baseline.
Enthusiastic Hospitality — We turn ordinary moments into memorable ones.

If these resonate, you'll feel right at home here.

Full-Time · Mostly Remote · $62,000 base + up to $6,000 Performance Bonus
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to lead the digital presence of two brands: The Mountain Top Lodge (our boutique hotel in Dahlonega, GA) and a hospitality personal brand led by our founder, Heather. We're looking for someone who sees what's needed and moves — without waiting to be told.
About the Role
You'll be Heather's marketing partner — owning social posting and community management across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, producing short-form video, managing Pinterest as a real traffic driver, and running ManyChat automation to convert social attention into booking inquiries. You'll propose strategy and content; Heather approves both.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role. The right candidate sees that as a feature, not a friction.
What You'll Own
Social Media Strategy & Execution
Lead content strategy and execution across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube — for both MTL and the founder's personal brand
Manage two distinct content voices: MTL's boutique hotel voice and the founder's personal hospitality brand voice
Maintain a consistent, high-quality publishing cadence across all platforms — guided by content strategy and platform best practices, not a static checklist
Engage daily — comment, reply, connect with our audience and ideal guests; this is part of the role, not an afterthought
Founder's Voice & Brand
Write captions, scripts, and content that sounds exactly like Heather — not like a marketing manager guessing. You'll study her voice, learn her patterns, and produce content she reads and says yes, that's me.
Protect the brand voice across both MTL and her personal brand
Short-Form Video Production
Capture and edit scroll-stopping short-form video for Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest video pins
Phone-based shooting is fine; editing in CapCut, InShot, or similar is expected
Maintain a high visual standard that matches the MTL aesthetic
Pinterest as a Real Traffic Driver
Build and execute a Pinterest strategy that drives meaningful traffic to MTL and the personal brand
Design pins, write keyword-optimized descriptions, structure boards strategically
Track saves, clicks, and outbound conversions — Pinterest is a long-game investment, and you understand that
ManyChat & Booking Funnel Automation
Build and maintain ManyChat flows that convert Instagram engagement into booking inquiries
Set up comment-triggered responses for campaigns and content moments
Monitor flows weekly, optimize based on performance, ensure everything routes cleanly into our CRM
Analytics & Performance Reporting
Pull the numbers monthly, interpret them, and apply what you learn
Report on the KPIs tied to your bonus structure: email list growth, Pinterest saves, attributed bookings, content quality
Every month should be smarter than the last
Trend-Spotting & Content Ideation
Watch what's working on each platform before we ask
Bring ideas to the table proactively — translate emerging trends into content that fits our brand, not just what's going viral
Quality Control & Proofing
Every piece of content — spelling, names, dates, links, messaging — is reviewed and accurate before it goes to Heather for approval
A final proofing pass is non-negotiable, every time
On-Property Content Capture
Be on-property for 4–8 weekend evenings per month to capture live content from Wit & Wisdom dinners, private events, and seasonal moments
Plan content capture before each event so the time is productive, not reactive
The Working Relationship
You'll propose strategy and content; Heather approves both. This isn't a hands-off role — she's involved, opinionated, and protective of both brands. The right candidate sees that as a feature, not a friction.
You'll have real ownership of execution, but the brand voice and direction run through her. Over time, as trust builds, approval becomes more streamlined. The standard never drops.
Who You Are
You see what's needed and move — you don't wait to be told what to do next
You're obsessed with the details, not because someone told you to be, but because it physically bothers you when something is off
You read a founder well — you can anticipate what Heather needs and move before she has to ask
You communicate with precision — captions, Slack messages, content briefs, all clear and professional
You take ownership — when something goes wrong, you say so and fix it before it spreads
You can write in someone else's voice so well even people close to them can't tell it wasn't them
You have a real point of view on brands — you can audit an account in 5 minutes and tell us what's working and what isn't
Requirements
4+ years in-house social media management experience (agency-only is a bonus, not a substitute)
Direct experience running a founder's or executive's personal brand
Hands-on expertise with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube
Strong short-form video editing skills with a high visual standard
Demonstrated ability to write in someone else's voice
Fluency with social media analytics — you read data, explain it, change your approach based on it
Comfortable using AI tools to increase content output and efficiency
Located within a 90-minute drive of Dahlonega, GA — this role requires on-property attendance for 4–8 weekend evenings per month
ManyChat experience strongly preferred (we're willing to teach the right candidate)
Email marketing experience is a nice-to-have, not required
This Role Is For You If
You see brand voice protection as an art, not a chore
You love working closely with a founder and protecting her time
You take pride in a feed that's alive, on-brand, and growing
You move fast without sacrificing quality
You read feedback as direction, not criticism
This Role Is Not For You If
You want to post whatever you want without approval
You wait for direction instead of moving
You take feedback personally instead of professionally
You set the bar at completion rather than excellence
Weekend evenings on-property don't work for your life

We're looking for a passionate cook to join the kitchen team at The Mountain Top Lodge and Wit & Wisdom — our 20-seat communal prix-fixe supper club in Dahlonega, Georgia. Whether you have years of professional kitchen experience or you're a recent culinary school graduate ready to grow under strong mentors, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
You'll work directly under our Head Chef in a small, intentional kitchen — cooking five-course tasting menus for one communal table.. You'll also work alongside our General Manager, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, who shapes the standards across both the kitchen and the broader property.
This is a #2 role in the kitchen. You'll execute the Founder's vision, contribute your own perspective, and grow your craft under real mentorship. It's the right fit for someone who wants to learn deeply from skilled chefs — not someone looking to run their own kitchen.

Pace courses for our 20-seat communal prix-fixe service at Wit & Wisdom

Maintain a clean, organized, safe kitchen — your station and shared spaces

Learn from a skilled Head Chef and a Le Cordon Bleu-trained GM

Physically able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle the heat of a kitchen line
A team player — you jump on dish, run food, or step into another station when needed
This Role Is For You If
You're a culinary school graduate or experienced cook looking to grow under skilled mentors
You love the rhythm of dinner service and the craft of plating
You're drawn to tasting menu and prix-fixe cooking — the focus, the pacing, the intentionality
You'd rather cook excellent food in a small intentional kitchen than turn out volume in a big one
You're ready to invest in your craft for the long haul
This Role Is Not For You If
You're looking to run your own kitchen right now
You want a Monday-through-Friday schedule
You'd rather cook fast and high-volume than slow and intentional

Part-Time · $16–$22/hour · Based on Experience
We're looking for a hospitality-driven, polished, and proactive team member to support both guest experience and housekeeping operations — someone who believes a perfectly made bed matters as much as a perfectly poured cocktail.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, dynamic role that blends front desk operations, serving, beverage service, and room care. You'll move between the lobby, the dining room, the bar, and the guest rooms — ensuring every touchpoint of the guest journey feels elevated and seamless.

Handle phone inquiries, reservation questions, and on-property guest communication with grace

Clean and reset guest rooms to MTL's boutique, five-star presentation standard

Experienced in hospitality, housekeeping, or service-based roles (boutique or upscale preferred)
Detail-oriented — you take pride in creating clean, beautiful spaces
Warm, confident, and genuinely guest-focused
Comfortable balancing front-of-house service with hands-on housekeeping
Dependable and physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and stay active throughout shifts
Available for weekend shifts (at least one Saturday or Sunday each weekend)
This Role Is For You If
You enjoy both interacting with guests and working behind the scenes to create an exceptional environment
You believe a perfectly made bed matters as much as a perfectly poured cocktail
You thrive in intimate, high-touch hospitality environments
You take pride in excellence, consistency, and teamwork
This Role Is Not For You If
You'd prefer to focus on only service or only housekeeping — not both
You're looking for a Monday-through-Friday role

About the Role
This is part-time housekeeping work at a 16-room boutique hotel in Dahlonega, GA. You'll typically work two to three shifts a week — Sunday and Thursday are required, with Monday being a strong plus and likely to be needed most weeks.

Available on Sundays and Thursdays, with Monday availability strongly preferred
Some boutique hotel, B&B, vacation rental, or detailed residential cleaning experience preferred (not required if you're motivated and a fast learner)
This Role Is For You If
You believe a beautifully made bed is its own kind of craft
You'd rather take pride in eight perfectly reset rooms than rush through fifteen
You find quiet satisfaction in setting a space exactly right

This Role Is Not For You If
You're looking for full-time, 40-hour-a-week work

Part-Time, Growing to Full-Time · $16–$20/hour Based on Experience.
We're looking for a Grounds Technician to keep The Mountain Top Lodge looking beautiful inside and out — someone who takes real pride in outdoor work and notices the small things that make a property feel cared for.
About the Role
This is hands-on, outdoor work at a 16-room boutique hotel in Dahlonega, GA. You'll maintain our lawns, landscaping, hiking trails, and outdoor spaces — and step in for light handyman work and event setup as needed.
This role starts part-time (20–30 hours per week) with the potential to grow to full-time. Weekend availability is required, because that's when our property is busiest and our grounds need to look their best.
You'll be the person who notices the cobweb on the lantern, the leaf piled at the front door, the trail marker that's gone crooked. Outdoor pride at a boutique property is its own craft — and we're looking for someone who feels that.
What You'll Own
Grounds & Landscaping
Mow, edge, and maintain lawn areas to a boutique standard
Care for landscaping beds, plants, and mulched areas
Trim trees and shrubs; remove debris from walkways and outdoor surfaces
Weed control (manual and chemical, as appropriate)
Water plants and landscaping as needed
Trails & Outdoor Spaces
Maintain hiking trails — clear debris, repair markers, ensure safe passage
Keep outdoor common areas (porches, pathways, lantern fixtures) clean and beautifully presented
Remove cobwebs, dust, and seasonal debris from exterior surfaces
Seasonal Work

"Our grounds are the first thing guests see when they arrive and the last thing they remember as they leave. Beautiful outdoor spaces don't happen by accident — they happen because someone cared. If that someone is you, we'd love to meet you."
