MtL - Tree of life.
Enter through your private entry door into this first floor queen bed room - The Tree of Life. This symbol was first introduced to me by my mother-in-law just after my dad’s funeral. She gifted me a pendant of The Tree of Life to remember him by. The Celtic symbol represents the connection between the earth and the life beyond and it’s thought The Celts believed that trees held the spirits of their ancestors. 20 years later, I still wear this pendant often to remember him by.

MTL - A New dawn.
Set in a palette of blues and golds, A New Dawn hosts feels of blue skies and sunshine. This queen room is located on the first floor. Not only does it have a sunroom for two, but also a private balcony with sunrise and sunset views. Wake up, stretch and start your day with a fresh perspective on life..
MTL- Into the woods.
Take a walk into the woods at The Mountain Top Lodge. The natural and wood tones in this room bring the outside in. Even though this room has a first floor entrance, the private entry door steps onto a second floor balcony among the hillside trees. A queen bed is surrounded with fresh light through the windows and leaves you staying in the midst of nature.
MTL- Feathers.
May your worries be light as a feather as you nuzzle down in this plush king size bed. Located on the first floor, sunrise peaks through the window as you wake. Give up all that weighs you down and join us at the MTL in Feathers.
MTL- the nest.
Nest /’nest/ (n.) : a place of retreat, rest, or lodging. And, this is just how we hope you feel in this quaint second floor MTL guest room. Two beautiful cardinals perch in the paintings that overlook this cozy queen bed. Whether you are lounging in the wooden chair, working at the desk, or admiring the sunset out the window, we hope you enjoy your stay in The Nest.
MTL- The fortune teller.
Complete with its very own Crystal Ball, The Fortune Teller Room is designed around a sketch by Dale Rayburn found in the library when we purchased the lodge. This charming second story room has a queen bed and sunset views from the window. If your visit to MTL includes discovering what your future holds, this room is certainly for you.
MTL- The gold rush.
We wouldn’t feel complete without an ode to the history of Dahlonega - Welcome to The Gold Rush Room. This second story, king bed room, sparkles with golden tones that pay tribute to the area. Enjoy lodging in a room sprinkled with artifacts from the Gold Rush Days. We have even included a little fool’s gold to catch your eye.
MTL- Green Pastures.
You are free to roam in Green Pastures. Enveloped in green velvet bedding this second level queen room features an in room vanity. Enjoy the woodland views while sipping coffee or wine enveloped in green leather chairs from your very own 2 person sitting room.
MTL- A Quiet Space.
Step through The Library Loft and into The Quiet Space. This king bed room is tucked away from other visiting guests and hosts a newly remodeled shower bath. Located up the stairs with a bird’s-eye view of the lobby. Enjoy the stillness of this room from the leather hair-on-hide chair sitting area.
HL - The wild life.
Find your freedom when you stay in this Hillside Lodge space. This king size room boasts luxurious bedding, private fireplace and balcony, and a spa tub. Be confident that you will love your visit to the MTL and live a little in The Wild Life.
HL- Oh Deer.
Let this room come to your rescue when you are looking for an escape from the “Oh Deers” in life. This king size room in The Hillside Lodge has all of the amenities the MTL has to offer. With your very own fireplace, balcony, and spa tub, we know you deserve to be spoiled during your stay.
HL - The lazy bear.
The Lazy Bear is designed for a good long nap. This king size room located on the lower level of The Hillside Lodge is curated with the coziest of decor. When you do awaken from your hibernation, may it be while enjoying your coffee and the views from your private porch.
HL - The clever fox.
Find your way to this cozy den on the lower level of The Hillside Lodge and select your favorite fox tale from the fables located here. Reading Little Red Riding Hood or The 3 Little Pigs is oh so cozy in this plush king size bed or comfortable sitting area. We know you’ll awaken bright eyed and busy tailed in The Clever Fox.
The looking glass cabin.
The Looking Glass Cabin is a space curated especially for you. This single bedroom cabin hosts a sunset view event room designed to host your bridal party, record guest testimonials of your retreat or simply be insta-fabulous in your photos. This stand alone space includes a full kitchen, living and dining room and full bathroom. Plan your special stay today.
The breedlove cabin.
Named after the owners of The Mountain Top Lodge, this is where The Breedloves’ reside while on property. This beautiful Breedlove Cabin provides a romantic getaway or an economical two couple option. This rental is equipped with two full bed & bathrooms, kitchen, living room and fireplace. Ideal for families and couple groups. Stop by Hamilton’s Market on the way in and grill dinner on the private back porch while taking in the nightly sunsets.
